Why I Left Twitter & Facebook
I recently had the gift of leaving/deleting Twitter & Facebook. And I can tell you after 10 years on Facebook, and half as much on Twitter… I am relieved.
Facebook was hard to leave, but the threats, insults and comment wars were more than my sanity can handle…
Twitter was fairly easy to leave once I saw they, as Facebook, not only store your content, but also sell it to the highest bidder.
I simply could not justify the access to MSM, more than the use of surveillance against myself.
If FB and Twitter want dossiers against me, as well as Trump, they can work for the info. I feel no need to volunteer it…. let alone monetize it, for their benefit.
The thing that bugged me about Twitter, was that it was an MSM echo chamber.
And I admit, having MSM I respect contact me, and retweet me was flattering….
But in the end, I realized I was just as big a problem as the MSM, if I was happy with validation FROM THEM!
Recognizing this, and the censorship of FB, after being BANNED from FB for 7 then 14 days, for posting content published ON FB, FROM FB was TOO MUCH!
At this point, I am happy to post on Gab, and my blog and look for an alternative to Youtube since vid.me DIED!
Bottom line: FB was always more trouble than it was worth… and Twitter was simply an MSM echo chamber.
Where you were ignored unless you worshiped MSM and MSM talking points. I simply saw no point in participating and enabling part of the problem, instead of being part of the solution.
I miss Vid.me as a content creator. And hope they come back.
I am done with the empty virtue signaling and MSM ass kissing of Twitter and the SJW induced censorship of FB and FB Live… where Live coverage of actual crimes are a-ok… while being anything less than an SJW isn’t, and is punished with harassment if you are lucky, and censorship and account deletion if the Southern Poverty Law Center or the ADL don’t like you, let alone the Demonrat party…
We can do better…
We can find better…
We can MAKE better solutions and options than that, CAN WE!?!
I see no point in helping the MSM and social media profit off of my demise.
And parading me as a heretic and a thought criminal that must be punished or erased without cause…. on a whim… of an SJW!
I liked Twitter and FB precisely because I could get MSM content from them to have a crack at. And deconstruct and destroy…
But it still was patronizing the enemy, and allowing them to profit from marginalizing and scapegoating me, and those like me.
It’s time to wise up.
And not to participate and be an instrument in my own demise, and that of my country.
I had to withdraw consent and move on… past the brick wall, metaphorical and physical…
Imposed upon me by others, and reinforced by myself…
I love news.
I love informing myself on issues, and looking for and working for solutions. But the MSM has frankly devolved into demagoguery and misery porn.
There are no solutions to be found there… So I have stopped looking.
I am fine with Youtube at this point, and reading books and taking on issues as they come up.
With no other person deciding for me and telling me how to address a given agenda.
At some point man must become the master of his own domain. And choose which battles to fight.
Listening to the whims, distractions, and misdirection’s of our enemies… gets us nowhere…
Even those I was friends with on FB, had no solutions to offer… only criticisms…
And I don’t need any more weight on my collective inertia.
It takes enough energy to survive by the day, let alone using more and depleting resources to answer the demands and rantings of the spiritually dead.
I have decided to exorcise the negative, and embrace the possibilities of what is positive and what is possible.
Focusing on the negative makes the attainable elusive and the achievable, incoherent.
That approach is not activism, it is suicide.
Misery porn won’t liberate the powerless, it will sentence them to extinction.
And since I am as powerless as I can possibly be, I see no reason to accelerate my demise.
If I go down, I go down fighting…
And aligned with those who are just as invested in the outcome.
Anything less is suicide. And a invitation to my own destruction…
No more of that.
If I go down, I go down swinging…
And not gently, into that goodnight…
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
And if we have to overcome the spiritually dead, to do so, let’s get to it, we’ve got work to do!
