Anger…

February 3, 2016

“Yo, the time has come for everyone to clean up their own backyard
Before they go knocking on their neighbour’s door” — House Of Pain.

Clean up, their own BACK… yard…

“And since you aint what you say… Then just GO AWAY…!!!

“Go on now, they won’t tell… Go on now… Save Yourself! ” — The Offspring.

I see the way the salesmen stare into the sun
I stood and watched them as they fell off one by one
And everyone’s so blind
They’re not to help mankind
Reach into your bag of tricks and pull another one
You don’t want to change the world
Like you say
You’re in it for yourself
No one else
You’re ready
Saving yourself
You’re gonna change the world
You’re ready
Saving yourself
You’re gonna change the world
Now when the day is set they’ll line up all the same
And those that need the most will never get or gain
The ones you call your friends
Are failing you again
Reach into your bag of tricks and make it go away
You don’t want to change the world
Like you say
You’re in it for yourself
No one else
You’re ready
Saving yourself
You’re gonna change the world
You’re ready
Saving yourself
You’re gonna change the world
And since you ain’t what you say
Then just go away
Cause some don’t lie
Some don’t lie
Go on now they won’t tell
Go on now and save yourself

Did this surprise me, no? Did the fact that it happened after the meaningless Iowa Caucus…

Why should or would would I be surprised?

One thing about the Paul’s is they get out when they have to spend their own money…

Rand Paul 2016 Cash on Hand 1,450,000 began with 2,900,000… They can raise money but don’t like to spend it..

This sums up most of the problems with Rand and his amateurish campaign.

http://www.nytimes.com/2015/11/10/opinion/campaign-stops/rand-pauls-lost-moment.html?_r=0

I have detailed my complaints since this speech..

https://freewillobjector.wordpress.com/2015/04/24/the-rise-of-ayn-rand-paul/

This was not his father’s campaign of peace, prosperity and non intervention at home or abroad. This was excusing intervention, cannibalizing the economy for corporations, then after their capital and rights are secure, secure our fealty to him and government with handouts…  which can ONLY come from the Federal Reserve Bank.

Yes, he supports civil liberties, and was a voice of reason on foreign policy. But right when we need him the most to STAND UP FOR US as WE Stand(ed) With Rand, during his filibuster (where he caved and decided to take their word for it, anyway… while he raised money DURING the damn thing!) he stood down, over and over, again!

But as much as abandoning his father’s views on issues that got him volunteers and the funds to run and win a US Senate seat, as well as the funds to run for President, and exiling his father’s supporters for highly paid GOP consultant after consultant, wasn’t bad enough. Rand during his campaign would take noble causes like sentencing reform, and non intervention, and diminish them and himself with name calling, against people like Donald Trump, and declaring war against the media. AND GOP donors!

While his father loved campaigning, Rand clearly does not. His livestreaming fuming aside. While raising money is a pain for those in Congress, in Presidential campaigns it is imperative. Unless Rand was depending on the very same people he purged, to fund his campaign. To be more acceptable to the GOP establishment.

You didn’t see the same faces in his Presidential campaign that you saw in his Senate campaign. You didn’t even see Ron Paul until just this past week, when it was already over.

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/onpolitics/2016/01/21/ron-paul-campaign-rand-paul-iowa/79136972/

While he was largely the voice of reason during the debates… his declared war against Donald Trump only served to magnify Trump and diminish Rand as a man more interested in capturing Moby Dick, than representing the interests of the American people. The contempt for the media, while understandable, served as a missed opportunity to sidestep the media, and speak directly TO the American people. Rand would waste opportunity after opportunity, by attacking the media, and haranguing Trump, making him seem just as much a demagogue as Trump.

But Trump has a tv show.  America knows Trump, or what they know, they like enough to listen to him, even if they disagree with him. Rand shows scorn and contempt for those who don’t agree with him, be they reporters, donor’s, the American people, his father’s supporters, or even his own…

Put it altogether and you have a bad candidate, who doesn’t want to be President, hates the media, hates the job, tries to chase headline after headline to fund-raise so he doesn’t have to pick up a phone and ask rich people for money, and who is just as frustrated with his father’s supporters, his own supporters, and those who disagree with him on any and all things.

How could this man work with Congress? How could he work with his own party, let alone Democrats, who owe him nothing… How could he take his message to the people, if he won’t stand up to the media, and use them to speak to the American people, like his father did so effectively? How could he stand up to our enemies? Let alone our allies like Israel? Simply put, the man put off his allies and enraged his enemies…

Libertarians hated him.  Conservatives hated him. Minorities he attempted in vain to speak to, and speak up for, resented him. Liberals hated him, just as much as Trump.

Where was the reward for Rand? There was none. His campaign was lost as soon as it began.

It could have been different.

Had he carried the flag of his father, for civil liberties, sound money, tougher stands on Wall St. and corporate America instead of going to Goldman Sachs to raise money…

http://www.nationaljournal.com/s/34113/rand-paul-gets-private-audience-goldman-sachs

….bringing the troops HOME! Instead of preaching the boogeyman of ISIS, just like Romney before him, during the previous campaign.

Rand could have been an example of the best of America. Instead he was a blatant example of incompetence at it’s worst.

Given the advantages he had, this indeed was a moment designed for him.

People will blame Trump. But the blame lies with Rand.

Even this former Ron Paul supporters noticed during the last debate that Donald Freaking Trump sounded more like Ron Paul, than his own son…

At least Jeb Bush has the decency to sound like a freaking Bush!

Rand it seems was running against too much.

His party, his followers, his father’s followers, his advisers, consultants, the media, his enemies… but most of all the biggest enemy he had… himself.

His campaign was all about ambition, even as much as W. Bush’s was, who dared to name his campaign plane “Great Expectations.” Rand wasn’t as vain as to do something like that. But it seemed he expected victory. He expected to be treated fairly, when his father wasn’t. He expected that by embracing the establishment, they would embrace him back. It doesn’t work that way in politics. It is a fickle mistress. Today’s friend is tomorrow’s adversary, loyalty defined as what have you done for me lately.

Rand, like his father loves to speak. And have his say. And walk away. He wants his hands clean. And his conscience, in order. Admirable. But when you enter the national arena on the world stage… you need a FIGHTER! Somebody who will use the media to spread their message. Speak the truth to the people. Talk about what THE PEOPLE care about, not what YOU care about. It seems Rand wanted to define everything on his terms. And merely forgot that for the great statesmen and women, the moment defines YOU!

You can rise to meet the challenge, or cower and fall by the wayside.

Perhaps instead of reading economists, and Dostoevsky, Rand should have been reading about great leaders of our time. The moments that defined them. And the leadership that made them stand out and do what’s right for their people.

Rand didn’t have the guts to do what it takes. He wouldn’t fight anyone for the big ideas. He took on Trump over superficial grounds, and critiqued his party, instead of called out his party, like his father did. Instead of taking on Trump, he should have aligned with Trump to take on Jeb, Hillary, and the legacies… Instead he declared war on Trump, and let Trump take from his campaign the meat, leaving Rand to only offer the people, potatoes.

And with so many in need and starving for action, potatoes are not enough. The people want more. They need more. More substance, more desire, more resilience, somebody who WILL stand up for them, push back against the fascists government/corporate monopoly cartel… not just the Fed. ALL of the government monopoly cartels. And what did Rand talk about during the debates? TRUMP! A man, who may or may not even be President… Although not that much different from the other demagogues on that stage, running against Hillary. But the American people look at that, and have to say “who is looking out for ME!” Nobody on THAT stage! So this paradoxically leaves who else, TRUMP and God forbid, Hillary as the primary candidates!

It has been said that “that which we fear most now confronts us…”

This is true for the American people, but not necessarily the GOP. As they would be very happy with Hillary as the nominee, to raise money off of. AND even as the next President of the US, if you talk to the elite of the GOP.

http://www.wnd.com/2015/11/gop-establishment-to-back-hillary-if-trump-nominee/

Maybe now it DOES make sense. How the incompetent like Carson and Paul, and the demagogues of the GOP, Cruz,  Fiorina, Rubio were installed to run against the Queen of them all. Hillary.

What’s healthcare, when you can bailout Wall St., enact Austerity to pay for it, jump into conflict after conflict overseas, and use the mechanisms of government to target your political enemies…

Maybe this NEVER was Rand Paul’s moment to begin with. And it has always been Hillary’s. That is the only damn thing about this election cycle that has made ANY sense to me!

Trump or Hillary, what is the difference?

Maybe that was the point all along…

If so, everybody has a right to be angry.

And now we will see who can ride that anger into the White House.

And make everyone PAY!

Damn you, Rand…

Look at what you have done…!

“Nice work you did… You’re Gonna Go Far, Kid!–TRUST DECEIVED!!!”

Show me how to lie
You’re getting better all the time
And turning all against the one
Is an art that’s hard to teach
Another clever word
Sets off an unsuspecting herd
And as you step back into line
A mob jumps to their feet

Now dance, fucker, dance
Man, he never had a chance
And no one even knew
It was really only you

And now you steal away
Take him out today
Nice work you did
You’re gonna go far, kid

With a thousand lies
And a good disguise
Hit ‘em right between the eyes
Hit ‘em right between the eyes
When you walk away
Nothing more to say
See the lightning in your eyes
See ‘em running for their lives

Slowly out of line
And drifting closer in your sights
So play it out I’m wide awake
It’s a scene about me
There’s something in your way
And now someone is gonna pay
And if you can’t get what you want
Well it’s all because of me

Now dance, fucker, dance
Man, I never had a chance
And no one even knew
It was really only you

And now you’ll lead the way
Show the light of day
Nice work you did
You’re gonna go far, kid
Trust, deceived!

With a thousand lies
And a good disguise
Hit ‘em right between the eyes
Hit ‘em right between the eyes
When you walk away
Nothing more to say
See the lightning in your eyes
See ‘em running for their lives

Now dance, fucker, dance
He never had a chance
And no one even knew
It was really only you

So dance, fucker, dance
I never had a chance
It was really only you

With a thousand lies
And a good disguise
Hit ‘em right between the eyes
Hit ‘em right between the eyes
When you walk away
Nothing more to say
See the lightning in your eyes
See ‘em running for their lives

Clever alibis
Lord of the flies
Hit ‘em right between the eyes
Hit ‘em right between the eyes
When you walk away
Nothing more to say
See the lightning in your eyes
See ‘em running for their lives

On the way
Trying to get where I’d like to say
I’m always feeling steered away
By someone trying to tell me
What to say and do
I don’t want it
I gotta go find my own way
I gotta go make my own mistakes
Sorry man for feeling
Feeling the way I do
On yeah, Oh yeah
Open wide and they’ll shove in
Their meaning of life
Oh yeah, Oh yeah
But not for me I’ll do it on my own
Oh yeah, Oh yeah
Open wide and swallow their meaning of life
I can’t make it work your way
Thanks but no thanks
By the way
I know your path has been tried and so
It may seem like the way to go
Me, I’d rather be found
Trying something new
And the bottom line
In all of this seems to say
There’s no right and wrong way
Sorry if I don’t feel like
Living the way you do

Oh yeah, Oh yeah
Open wide and swallow their meaning of life

Oh yeah, Oh yeah
But not for me I’ll do it on my own
I can’t make it work your way
Thanks but no thanks
