Selective Amnesia Breeds Apathy & Vice Versa

August 16, 2013

You didn’t march when they passed the Patriot Act, the NDAA, the Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Bill, The Unlimited Banker Bailout Bill, The Health Care Bill with house visits, involuntary medical intervention and no security of private information from discrimination. You didn’t march when we went into Iraq the second time, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Libya, Somalia, Yemen, Uganda, Jordan, Turkey, Chad, or Mali. You didn’t march when the President told you to go shopping, in response to 911, and did everything he could to prevent, then orchestrate the investigation, only to find “a lack of imagination” as the culprit… You didn’t march when they read your mail, tap your phone, store your emails, photograph your mail, record your internet history, record your phone calls, your emails, you didn’t march when they took 3D images of you and your partner’s and your children’s naked body, and gave you radiation to the tune of 10 x-rays just to get on a plane, or travel by bus, and if you said no, you were subjected to the literal definition of sexual assault… You didn’t march when they targeted dissenters. Gun owners, whistleblowers, and advocates of peace and freedom and autonomy.

But NOW, when Muslims say they will march on DC, in an empty gesture… NOW YOU GET UPSET! TO HELL WITH YOUR SELECTIVE APATHY AND INDIGNATION! If only you could get pissed over what actually MATTERS! Then maybe proactive, positive change could take place…. But apparently the status quot, is just fine for you!

See you in HELL!!! (That is, if there IS a God! And he is just!)
